6 FEET APART

It is Friday, May 15, 2020. Many states are reopening today after two months of quarantine. I went to Target today to do some grocery shopping. It is amazing to me that two months after quarantine began, aisles for daily necessities still remain empty.

In my county, many businesses still remain closed. However, I believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel in the fight against this virus.

One of the most important lessons I have learned from this unprecedented time is to never take anything for granted. We should appreciate all of the workers who have been on the front lines saving lives and helping others.

I feel that our nation will be changed forever, but our hearts and perspectives regarding people and things will be changed for the better. As more places open up, please remember to wear a mask because you can save a life.
