CALMING COMFORT



It’s May and it has been cloudy, windy and around 60 degrees over the past few days. I wish it were warmer, but I'll take it! It is actually the perfect weather for running!


I took a hot bath last night after my run because I was experiencing a lot of muscle soreness, which is usually caused by a build up of lactic acid. I also just wanted to relax. It is so nice to take time, relax my muscles and block out the uncertainty surrounding us every day.


So, last night Dr. Fauci was replaced by Dr. Teal! I used an Epsom Salt Solution I found at Target that smells amazing! Epsom salt baths reduce inflammation and improve sleep. I take them a lot. Adding a cup of baking soda actually helps to flush out even more toxins. I feel so much better after taking a hot bath, even if it only lasts15 minutes.


I highly recommend turning off the tv, putting your phone on silent and taking time for yourself every day in some way to release daily stress. It can be taking a hot bath or even just sitting in bed and listening to music with a cup of green tea. Sometimes it is the littlest things we do for ourselves that can make us feel so much better!
