One week from today I will be going HOME. That’s what students call our university because it really feels like a home.
Our “home” may look a little different, but I will be glad to be back nevertheless. I am so excited and nervous at the same time, which can be expected during these uncertain times. My university has put in place everything possible to help keep us safe, and now it will be our responsibility to do the best we can to stay healthy and keep each other safe.
I am positive and hopeful for the best. The rest is in God’s hands.
Months ago when the world was in quarantine, I made a movie mashup to the lyrics Home by Phillip Phillips, as a video editing assignment. Making it gave me hope that we would go back in August and some normalcy in the world would return. At that time the only things open were grocery stores and most of the world was not encouraged to leave their home for any reason.
We might not be back to “normal,” but I think we are moving in the right direction and that’s all I can hope for at this time. We have certainly come a long way since I made my movie mashup at least.
