It sure has been a busy week already even though it is syllabus week. First week of classes just finished up for me today. So excited for the year to come, but excited to enjoy the weekend!
To start out the week though, I participated in Move-In crew which was a lot of fun. I was able to meet many of the new students that are coming to High Point University for the Fall and help them become more comfortable with their new home.
This was my first time doing Move-In crew and I absolutely loved it. Move-In crew is a great opportunity to not only meet new students, but to also meet new friends along the way that you might have never met before.
We all cheered for the cars as they pulled up to their dorm destination Wanek, University Center 2, Finch, Belk, Blessing, Millis, and McEwen. What is so neat about HPU is that if you apply ED, meaning early decision like I did, you will get priority/top choice of housing as well for classes. This is really useful and helpful because you are able to choose where you want to live on campus as well as the classes you need or want to take. You are able to get ahead of anyone else by applying ED.
Move-In crew also allows students to move in earlier than others on campus so it was very nice to get settled into my dorm instead of the day before school starts.
I loved participating in this opportunity and it was a lot of fun memories that I can cherish forever as I will definitely sign up for next years Move-In crew as you should too!!
